| Kate Martin's hobbies |
- I enjoy brewing beer and mead with my husband, Eric. We have been brewing as a team since 1998.
- I am learning how to use multimedia software, such as Dreamweaver, Soundslides, Garageband and Audacity.
- I like finding tasty new recipes and attempting to cook them. I have had to use the fire extinguisher only once in 10 years.
- I want to improve my storytelling abilities. I often refer to Jon Franklin's "Writing for Story" and William Zinsser's "On Writing Well." I also attend local writing conferences and monthly meetings of the Western Washington SPJ.
